09.29.07 Priya & Jesse

What a way to end a busy, yet awesome wedding season! I have the next three weekends wedding-free, but have plenty of work to keep me busy with all the different shoots I've been doing. Anyway, on to today's wedding! Priya and Jesse were married at the beautiful Mt. Hood Organic Farms. The weather was supposed to be somewhat rainy, but I didn't feel a drop of rain the entire day (although it was pretty chilly). Congratulations to the two of you!

Here's a couple scenic pics (you can just barely see Mt. Hood out in the distance)...

There were so many beautiful flowers around, which I wasn't expecting at this time of year...

Some bride and groom pics...

The ceremony...

Unfortunately, the clouds had completely covered the mountain by the time the ceremony started, but you can see a little of the bottom here...

Jesse's parents...

The reception...

The day felt like it wasn't only about the bride and groom, it felt like a huge family party. Priya's mom and her friends...

Throughout the many toasts, there was laughter...

Shock at some of the stories told (I'll leave it at that!)...

And, tearful speeches...

Although the dog was not amused...

And last, but not least (Priya, this is JUST for you! Sorry Carmen), the smoking monk...

Thanks for looking!

09.22.07 - Elisa & Thomas

I checked the forecast everyday last week, and there was supposed to be some rain yesterday, but Elisa and Thomas lucked out and had beautiful weather for their wedding at Skamania Lodge. Congratulations, and I hope you have a great honeymoon!

Elisa getting ready...

Her toes were her something blue, which I thought was adorable. Selective coloring is something I've only done to maybe 3 images since learning Photoshop, but I think it looks good here to highlight her cute toes...

I love clouds and reflections, so I was excited when I saw the two together!

The ceremony...

It just wouldn't have been the same without some awesome clouds in the sky...

They wanted a big group shot with everybody there...

We did just a few quick pics of them afterward...

While the guests were eating I snuck out to get some sunset shots...

The reception!...

09.15.07 - Bernadette & Thanh

Bernadette & Thanh held their ceremony and reception at McMenamins Edgefield in Troutdale, OR. Everything was so beautiful...the flowers, weather, ceremony, and especially the bride! They also gave me a TON of time for bride and groom pictures, I think because Thanh is really into photography (we were discussing lenses and camera bodies before the ceremony, lol), which was really awesome, because the bride and groom shots are my favorite part! Thanks you guys! You were wonderful to work with, and I hope you have a fantastic honeymoon! Here are a few images from the day, it was very difficult to narrow down the number of bride and groom pics, especially...

The groom...

A unique alternative to wedding programs...

They incorporated Thanh's Chinese heritage into the ceremony by doing a tea ceremony. The bride and groom serve guests tea, and in return receive a gift and/or card. The man sits on the right and the woman on the left, so that the bride serves the father and the groom serves the mother (or whomever comes up to be served)...

This lady was the life of the party!

And the groom's mother (in red) joined right in, too!
